Recipe: Opus 14, WC Handy Pale Ale, Movement 2

Posted: January 21, 2013 in Recipes

Another day off, so it was again brew day to keep the pipeline going. My WC Handy APA turned out so well, I decided to brew it up again. I made a couple minor modifications, opting to use Warrior hops, as many of the online clones do. I changed up the hop schedule a bit, too, but I expect it to turn out pretty well nonetheless.

I forgot to stir at 15 minutes into the steep, and I only added 1.5 lbs of DME at the beginning, adding the other 1.5 lbs. at 15 minutes. Otherwise, the process was the same. Dry hops will be added in 7-10 days.

My fermentation fridge is sitting at 62 degrees, although I have it set for 65. I plan to ferment there.

Looking forward to enjoying this one in my new house next month!
